       For those interested in low frequency registers, QTA are able to offer you Bass-Man. This is a Reflex Loaded Isobaric enclosure, incorporating two 10", long throw drivers in a forward facing arrangement. This form of driver coupling provides a number of advantages over ordinary single or dual driver formats. The most noticeable being the halving of equivalent cabinet volume. This makes it a good choice for Bass applications which usually require large cabinets. Other advantages relate to reduced driver distortion, due to the constant pressure loading on the front cone and a general lowering of frequency extension over that obtained with single / dual units. The design is based around a QB3 cabinet which differs from band pass enclosures in that the unfiltered 'enclosure' operates over the full driver range. A power amplifier and filter fit into the rear of the enclosure to limit the HF response and provide the driving force.

Assembly Skills.

       It should be noted that the woodwork is of a more complex and exacting nature than that associated with Bass-Mate, a simple closed box. Some skill and general mechanical aptitude is required to complete the construction, which includes reading drawings, precision woodwork and a selection of clamps, tools etc. The net weight is some 31Kgms and care should be taken to handle this type of weight.
