A range of components designed to offer the DIY enthusiast an inexpensive way of
constructing / mounting crossover components in a compact and professional
manner on 2.5mm Tufnol Board. Available in two formats.
(1) Purchase the individual components, board +
tags and do your own thing with holes etc
or
(2) make use of QTA's in-house layout and tag i nsertion service.
In either case you get to assemble the crossover
yourself.
Pins can be inserted from either side of the board but the
best visual layout is achieved with the pins inserted on the reverse side of the
board and the component leads threaded through the tags from the front. The
centre hole has a nominal diameter of 1.19mm, so accommodates a maximum wire
diameter of 1.0mm. Cable leadouts for drivers may be led out or pinned from
either board face.
Also available for speaker to crossover connection, OFC
multi-stranded TPE insulated copper cable in 2.5mm (for bass sections) and 1.0mm
for (tweeters). Highly flexible and the insulation doesn't peel off when you
solder it. Available in various colours, see table:-
