MINI-1.
Utilising
the well known Bandor 2" / 50mm miniature drivers these cabinets are
available with solid hardwood top / bottom panels in (Oak, Ash or Maple)
with matching or contrasting hardwood front baffles. The side panels in MDF are
finished in hand applied real wood veneers and are available in a large variety
of personalised finishes including exotic hardwood veneers. Finished in oil and
waxed.
As
an alternative, veneered top and bottom panels can be provided in 25mm MDF which
have rounded and oiled but not veneered, edges. This construction reduces the
risk of warpage sometimes associated with solid hardwood materials / panels.
For those wishing to experiment and 'finish' their own cabinets a
simplified KIT design is available in MDF only, (self coloured), which
includes all woodwork and hardware, terminals, wire, damping materials etc to
construct two cabinets, but EXCLUDES the drivers. Suitable crossover
information pertinent to the current driver versions can be obtained from
Bandor. Note:-
(1) These units are not designed for full range bass operation as
the cones will be excursion limited at the bottom / bass end. They should be used in
conjunction with a suitable bass unit / enclosure with the appropriate
crossover.
(2) The veneers shown are representations only and are subject to colour change
and within species grain variation.
SYSTEM: MICRO-1
A complete miniature system comprising a pair of Bandor 50mm drivers mated
to solid hardwood, (ash or maple), miniature enclosures incorporating silver
plated wires and gold plated rear terminals. These are supported by
complementary stands constructed from real wood veneered panels and solid
hardwood top platforms with the facility for the centre column to be sand
filled. The bottom registers are augmented by a custom Bass Bin featuring a
Focal 7" kevlar unit. The Bass Bin acoustics have been specifically
tailored to match the presentation of the Bandor drivers, although, for fine
tuning, provision has been made for the adjustment of gain, bandwidth and phase.
