Transmission Lines
QTA supply their Transmission Lines in a number of formats to suit various
customer requirements. They are all based upon a mechanical design of
modest proportions in order to provide a better acoustic match to modern
sized living quarters. The pre-veneered cabinets are provided with an oiled penetrant
finish which resists scuffs and scratches. Available in the following options as completed units:-
(1) MODEL TL1. Passive Transmission
Line. Finished in a veneer of your choice chosen from our standard
range with complementary hardwood lippings and veneered front / rear panels. Drivers, Focal dual coil Kevlar Mid Bass, Morel
tweeter. Similar in style to model shown.
(2) MODEL TL2. Passive Transmission Line
with similar case and footprint as per model (1). Drivers now
Midbass unit by Scan-speak, partnered with Morel tweeter.
(3) MODEL TL2. Active Transmission Line.
Our premier model TL using a Scan-speak carbon doped paper, long throw Mid Bass
driver and Morel tweeter. The active filter, our AFM1, is a separate standing
item and is accompanied by it's own external power supply. For more info

Note, the TL2 Active is a two way system and to drive a stereo pair you require
4 full channels of amplification, not a Bi-wire option. Interconnects are NOT
provided. To take full advantage of the acoustic take a look at our
partnering Mosfet Amplifier.

PASSIVE TRANSMISSION LINES.
(3) For the enthusiast , options (1), (2) or (3) can be
provided in a Kit format. Kits include all mechanical components / items and the woodwork required
to construct a stereo pair. Note the "Electronic Filter" accompanying the
TL2 active option is NOT supplied in kit form and is
ready built, along with its external power supply.
Note: we do not 'stain' any of our cabinets and the colours obtained are
those of the naturally occurring veneered species. Plain MDF cabinets are
supplied in self colour.
Standard Veneers:- As available, Oak , Ash, Walnut, Mahogany, Cherry.
Exotic Veneers:- By Quotation , finishes include, (when
available), Santos
Rosewood, Birds Eye Maple, Hand veneered so.......
