APEX 100:-
Infinite baffle, (Closed Box), pyramidal enclosure.
Features hand crafted Drivers by Bandor
Gold anodised metal coned 8" Bass with large 134mm magnet assembly.
Two 50mm Gold coned mid / H.F. drivers cover the remaining Frequency
Spectrum.
Available with internal / external passive crossovers or active
(electronic
crossovers).
NOTE:- The Electronic crossovers require a total of 4 channels of amplification.
Options on low profile Steel Stands and veneered finishes.

HK10:-
Rear ported 10 litre reflex
enclosure.
Features an all metal coned line-up using Bandor 100mm Mid / Bass and Focal
titanium tweeter.
Soft suspension and long throw provides detailed reproduction
from small cabinet
volume.
Split design crossovers provide for bi-amping facility.
Heavy duty PCB with 2oz copper track utilises Air Cored coils and
Polypropylene
Caps.
Available in standard veneers or exotics according to availability.
May be Stand Mounted or Bookshelf Mount (rear clearance 200mm from wall).
Contrasting or matching wood stands available as optional extras.
Sound assessment:- Analytical, requires good quality ancillaries for best
results.
Minimum amplifier requirements 30W / channel with good current drive.
Available in Kit format, includes all woodwork Various finishes.
HK15:-
Front ported 15 litre reflex enclosure in 18mm MDF.
6" Bass driver from Focal coupled with the well established Morel MDT30S
Tweeter.
Provides a softer sound than the HK10 with Polyglass bass cone and soft
dome
fabric tweeter.
Similar crossover construction as HK10 and with bi-wire facilities.
High impedance Bass driver (9) ohms makes for easy amplifier load and
is easy to
drive.
Sound assessment, More forgiving of indifferent material, with a easy-going
sound.
Available in standard veneers only, with options on wood stands to
suit.
Options on Kits as per HK10.
TL1:-
Small T.L. using Focal 7" Dual Voice Coil Kevlar mid / bass driver and
Morel MDT30S
Tweeter.
Provides a light airy sound full of detail and presence.
Split filter design for Bi-wiring. Available with options on external crossovers
.
Kits in a number of finishes or supplied in natural MDF for self finishing.
Accessible / removable crossovers for tweekists.
Low profile hardwood stands in complementary colours / woods optional.
TLA:-
Actively driven two way T.L. (Transmission Line) featuring Scan Speak and Morel
drivers.
Utilises the same cabinet dimensions as the TLP although it uses a longer
internal
duct.
Partnered by QTA's Active filter the AFM1 it provides a sound quality hard to
beat at the price.
Offset tweeter location to aid overall imaging characteristics.
Optional low profile hardwood spiked stands to reduce LF Floor
bounce.
MOSAMP :-
Mosfet Power amplifier, (Kit), with mirror front
end circuitry and Power Mosfet
output stage.
Designed to provide a very high standard of sound reproduction for domestic
and
pro monitoring purposes. 60W RMS/ Channel into 8 ohms.
Rugged power supply, 420VA with high quality caps.
Ample energy storage capability / channel for good bottom end performance.
Parallel output stages (optional), for improved damping and better
current drive into low impedances.
Switch-on mute, (i.e. turn-on delay), with cmos logic DC detection / protection
circuitry.
High quality Caps used throughout, e.g. BHC Aerovox, Os-Cons, Low Z's etc.
Modular construction to permit straightforward assembly in pre-formed inner
Aluminium
tray.
Options on DIY Chassis layout (monoblocks etc) for the experimenter.
Bolt-on Aluminium and steel panels in fine texture black paint, available separately,
(sets only), to
construct
a complete case.
Pre-Built and tested Mosfet Modules, you do the rest.
INFO:- All Loudspeaker kits are supplied with comprehensive
instructions and notes / tips for the completion of your project and how to
finish them. A sample set of notes, (HK10), is available separately, cost
£5 for you to assess your abilities.
FINISHES:- All cabinets are available in plain MDF
(Kits), for self finishing or a number of standard veneers. (Oak, Mahogany.
Cherry, American Walnut). Surfaces are sanded and oiled: a penetrant finish with
hard wearing properties. No stains are employed and hue or colour is as per the
veneer. This can vary tree to tree and within tree from the same species.
Matching patterns are sometimes possible, depending upon species /
availability at extra cost.
The smaller cabinets can be provided in exotic veneers where the materials are
available / suitable. It's worth noting that exotic veneers are usually derived
from 'small tree' species which by definition are relatively scarce and generate
small veneer leaves. This complicates the process of colour and
grain matching and results in the joining of many small pieces of veneer. Hence
the price difference.
NOTE:- The construction of a kit 'is' a
reasonably comprehensive undertaking and you are expected to have
the necessary skills, aptitudes and tools to hand. Whilst we can offer advice
and guidance by phone we are unable to repair poor workmanship or in the case of
PCB's, correct, inept assembly methods and techniques. The usual result is a new board and
components. So do take care it's well worth it.
To maintain supply it is sometimes necessary to substitute an equivalent driver
/ tweeter depending upon circumstances.
